Every Mile. Every Rider. Every Child.
This isn’t just a bike ride. It’s hundreds of riders coming together for one mission: helping give children with cancer more tomorrows.
Since 2022, more than 1,600 cyclists from across Texas have geared up for Gear Up Against Kids Cancer. Together, they’ve ridden nearly 69,000 miles and raised more than $104,000 to support childhood cancer research at the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute at UT San Antonio.
Those miles help fuel researchers working toward better treatments, new discoveries, and brighter futures—so more children can celebrate the moments that matter: birthdays, first days of school, graduations, and everything that comes after.
On Saturday, May 1, 2027, we ride again.
Now entering its 6th year, Gear Up Against Kids Cancer brings cyclists of all experience levels together in Floresville for an unforgettable day of riding, community, and purpose.
Choose Your Challenge
Whether you're looking for your first cycling challenge or ready to tackle a metric century, there’s a route for you.
Ride through the quiet rural roads, rolling ranchland, and wide-open South Texas countryside of Wilson County. Along the way, enthusiastic volunteers, well-stocked rest stops, mechanical assistance, SAG vehicles, first aid personnel, and dedicated route support will be there to help keep you moving.
Choose your distance. Set your goal. Ride at your pace.
But whatever route you choose, every rider is part of the same team, and every mile supports the same mission.
Crossing the finish line is an accomplishment.
Knowing why you crossed it is what makes Gear Up different.
Ride for the researchers working toward the next breakthrough.
Ride for the families who need hope.
Ride for the children still fighting.
And ride for the future we believe is possible.
Gear Up. Take on the challenge. Be part of something bigger than the ride.
Because when fighting cancer, NO KID rides alone.
