Hi Everyone,
As many of you know, 2014 was the year I faced breast cancer. I am a survivor today because of several things but three of the most important reasons are YOU, Eastern Propane and Seacoast Cancer Center at Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
The Seacoast Cancer Center is a center that treats people with all types of cancers – and if you are like me, cancer has touched all of our lives in many forms – it does not discriminate by social class, race, gender – it is an equal opportunity disease that affects us all. My passion for the Seacoast Cancer Center is that being in Dover NH allowed me and so many others to be treated at my hometown hospital and get big city care. I didn’t need to go to Boston. This allowed me to continue to work at Eastern and maintain a semblance of normalcy while I was getting treatment. The Seacoast Cancer Center and Wentworth Douglass Hospital are not for profit organizations so much of what they offer to patients and families depends on the support of our communities.
Eastern Propane is known throughout our communities as an incredibly socially responsible business and in so being, Eastern has agreed to be a sponsor for the EVERY STEP MATTERS Seacoast Cancer Center 5K Walk/Run. We have a team of incredible staff members walking and running for The Seacoast Cancer Center- a team made up of Eastern employees, relatives and friends who are willing to donate their time and energy to walk with me on Sunday, September 27,2015 at 9:00 AM. Eastern was there for me then and is there for us now!

On September 27th our Eastern Propane TEAM, the Eastern Support Squad,will be participating in a 5k road race benefiting Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. I’m counting on your donation to help us reach the goal I have set for us! Proceeds from the Seacoast Cancer 5k benefit the Supportive and Wellness Services at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital’s Seacoast Cancer Center, offering patients and their families individualized guidance and support as they cope with cancer diagnoses and treatment.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is committed to significantly increasing the quality of life for those patients receiving cancer-directed treatment at the Seacoast Cancer Center.
