I'm a proud Navy veteran who has carried memories of deployment long after coming home, I’ve felt the weight of our service members’ sacrifices. Their bravery, and the invisible battles they face next, today, I’m channeling that frustration into action. On September 6, 2025, Brodie and I will be riding 40 miles through the Shenandoah Valley as part of the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes in Raphine, VA, and I need your help.
Every mile I pedal is a reminder that our combat veterans and first responders still battle invisible wounds—trauma, PTSD, constant anxiety. The Boulder Crest Foundation gives these heroes free access to retreats, therapy, family programs, and life-changing community support so they can rebuild purpose, hope, and joy at home. Check out there page here: Boulder Crest Foundation - The Home of Posttraumatic Growth (PTG)
Would you consider sponsoring my ride with a tax-deductible gift? No amount is too small: PledgeReg - Fundraising Team
Your donation will directly fund:
Guided PTSD counseling and peer-to-peer groups
Family support weekends in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Equine-assisted therapy and outdoor resilience training
If you can’t give today, sharing my page or cheering me on at Rockbridge Vineyards makes a world of difference. Every click and every dollar tells our veterans they are remembered—and never alone.
Thank you for riding alongside me in spirit. Together, we can turn each challenging hill into a step toward healing.
With gratitude and hope,
Brian & Brodie

Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes 2025
Back for 2025 with three beautiful road routes in a rural part of the Shenandoah Valley, the Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes is better than ever.
Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery, near Raphine, Virginia is our host for this year. It's just off I-81 with easy access from the interstate.
The routes will test your legs and showcase the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. Our rest stops will offer a chance to meet our local Veterans and learn some history as you rest and recover for the next leg over the rolling hills and countryside.
We ride to support our combat veterans and their families who are dealing with the trauma and stress of their war experiences. All funds raised go to Boulder Crest Foundation, which is committed to improving the physical, emotional, spiritual, and economic wellbeing of our nation's military, veterans, first responders, and their family members. BCF programs ensure they have the opportunity to live lives of passion, purpose, and service at home. All the proceeds from the event support this critical program.
Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes
This benefit ride is a fundraiser hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to raise money for Boulder Crest Foundation, a therapeutic and wellness center for combat veterans and their families who are dealing with the stresses of their combat experiences. After twenty years of continuous war in Afghanistan and Iraq, our combat veterans, many of whom have deployed multiple times, and their families are paying a terrible price for their service to the nation. Our event supports Boulder Crest Foundation's mission of turning "struggle into strength" and enables combat veterans to attend BCF's posttraumatic growth programs at no cost. Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes is organized by Valley Veterans, Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. All donations to Valley Veterans Ride for Heroes are tax deductible.
